i want to do more little things to make a less harmful impact on the planet. so what can i do? i've cut down on paper napkin usage (thanks robin!), stopped littering cigarette butts (the smoking habit itself i am working on, too), and started washing and reusing one water bottle and not buying new ones. i don't leave the water on when i brush my teeth, either. so what else? does anybody have any interesting ideas? post your thoughts in the comments. i could use a little help on this one.

1. we can only turn on lights when we absolutely need them, and not leave any lights on when we are out. Enjoy sunlit rooms!
2. we can shop at used clothing stores, or stores which take your old clothes and exchange them for new/old ones like Beacon's Closet. This just keep the clothing recycling. I believe that this cuts down on packaging waste, and on the manufacturing of clothing which is made to be more disposable. 3. We can re-familiarize ourselves with the outdoors, nature and our environment by spending more time with it: camping, hiking, going to the beach, etc.
4. We can educate ourselves more on the subject by watching specials such as Planet Earth (Discovery), or Big Ideas for a Small Planet (Sundance).
